The pilot of the miracle landing on the Hudson has a company called Safety Reliability Methods, a consulting firm about risk-evaluation and safety. His clients are in business, government and health care. Needless to say his phone is ringing off the hook and we wish him all the success in the world.

Hi Linda - It's great to hear that Sullenberger is being personally rewarded for his professionalism and leadership strengths. I was a part of that national 'sigh of relief' when the news came out that all passengers survived the crash into the Hudson river.
Have you heard about the Ascendancy Awards for Women? Very relevant, I think, is w2wink.com's business women nomination process - of someone that you may know that has achieved or innovated in corporate, entrepreneurial and career transition situations. In addition to recognition of accomplishments, winners also receive a private business club membership for one year from ClubCorp, and a pair of round-trip tickets to any destination in the contiguous United States from American Airlines. You can obtain nomination and application forms at the women business site. Winners are announced in May 2009. I have a co-worker who has been a wonderful mentor, and just launched a new business venture, so I am planning to send on in!
