With Thanksgiving coming up, I started to think of some creative ways to give thanks to the special people in our lives.
1. Make a Photo Memory
At Thanksgiving, take a photo of you
and the people you love. Then email the photo, but don't stop there.
Give them an actual framed picture of both of you as a keepsake. At my
bridal shower, I took a photo of me and each of my bridesmaids. Then
the night before my wedding, I gave each of them the picture. My best
friend, Sheryl, still has the photo displayed in her home.
2. Feed Your Brain
Don't just indulge in feeding your
belly on Thanksgiving. Bring a gift to the host or hostess that feeds
their brain. Make a gift basket of great books: business,
inspirational, fiction or humor, whatever you think they would like to
experience.
3. Write a Gratitude Journal and Letter
Keep a gratitude journal of the
things you're thankful for. When you think of a special person who has
touched your heart, write them a letter, send them an email or mail
them a greeting card to let them know how grateful you are to have them
in your life.
